How many times have we called someone to say the magical words, 'Thank You' to sincerely appreciate a job well done. May be very few times. But it really works. Call anytime, anywhere, anyone and appreciate them sincerely for a job well done with a sincere 'Thank You', and see for yourself the magic it has on the person. My view is that we have many simple things that we can do to motivate anyone, and one such thing is to call up and thank a person for a job well done, asap.
You know how your aunt is always posting inspirational stuff on Facebook telling you to dance like no one is watching or whatever? Well you should also do a super awesome job at your place of employment even when you think no one is paying attention. Because they might be and then the CEO of Starbucks is calling you up to thank you and holy moly, that’s kind of a huge moment. That’s what happened to a Starbucks manager in San Diego earlier this month.
